This is a tool that monitors activities in computer and takes it to hibernation or shutdown if inactive.
AllOff Lite monitors the mouse, keyboard and CPU load and initiates computer power off or hibernation when activity is low. If there has been no keyboard or mouse activity for 900 seconds, that will be noted as no activity. Similarly, if the average CPU load has been below 15% for over 60 seconds that is considered no activity. While these conditions can be used to start shutdown procedure, you could also have a fixed time shutdown or shutdown after a given time. These settings override the settings of low/no activity. This flexibility offered by the tool can be utilized for energy savings. The utility offers a minimal interface. It will help you set up the low activity shutdown parameters. The interface also provides controls for testing out the settings.
The tool runs in the system tray, allowing you to change settings at any time. You could support complete power off or hibernate. When a shutdown is initiated you still have 60 seconds to cancel the shutdown. This utility has an automatic updates feature. The tool can support unattended backup (shutting down the computer when the backup has completed) and shutting down a computer if the user forgets. The utility can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, on start up or manually. The utility is free for personal use. When change of functions is needed the tool can be re-run. You do not need to overwrite the configuration file when prompted when doing this. This is a good tool.
